Wahoo! Another news story feeding my unfortunate ideas that no one on this earth can really be trusted. Really, how can you trust anyone when people are constantly trying to scam you out of your hard-earned money left and right? This is a rather obvious point to make but the manipulation of desperate, hard-working people who are a little down on their luck is just sad and pathetic. Even worse is that the trend seems to be toxic, at least according to this article. This may be happening in China, but you can sure as hell bet that it is happening elsewhere too, maybe just not in the same exact fashion. And you know something? It's probably never going to stop.
One last point I'd like to make though is that CNN's self promotion in this article is heavily evidenct. Every point made in this article is "according to video attained by CNN" and I am sorry but it unnerves me, mainly because not only can I not trust people, but I'm not even sure if I can trust my news sources. I know I am probably sounding a little paranoid, but if I do it's only because reading tragic news stories such as these has enforced such feelings.

- Whenever I paint, I put my left arm behind my back, and when I'm really focused on my art, I've been told that my breathing gets heavier. Walking barefoot is my petit bonheur, and trees are the most fascinating thing on this planet. I could eat a whole jar of peanutbutter slowly by the spoonful, especially if you sit me down in front of a movie, or two, or three. Sleeping with the window open makes for the best night's rest. I like to sit on the floor, even when a chair is available, which is ironic, because I really like to design furniture. The place where the Cleveland Indians play will always be Jacob's Field, and drawing with a pencil and paper will always beat out Photoshop. Cleaning my room with music blasting makes me happy. Funny, cause I've been unanimously voted the messiest in my house. When I think of the house I will own when I'm older, it involves a library, an art studio, floor-length windows with ivy crawling up the panes, and a roof I can easily climb on. It also involves secret passageways and those creepy paintings with spyholes for eyes. My kids are getting a treehouse whether they want one or not. As it turns out, I didn’t have to swim to Europe.
